      Mean Average vs. Median Prices

The mean is the average. The median is the middle value. Half the values are higher than the median, and half are lower.

The median is a more robust measure of central tendency. Changing a single value won't change the median very much. In contrast, the value of the mean average can be strongly affected by a single value that is very low or very high.
